Dogs training care

I have trained dogs for over 14 years and have had my own dogs all my life. I have recently put one of my dogs on an all natural diet. He is a full bred shar pei 11 years old in great shape all for but ear infections he has had all his life. Shedding is also a problem . I have done the antibiotics and medicated shampoos. I have researched natural diets and the fact that the commercial dog foods contain wheat and preservatives that cause allergy's infections included , I feel that changing his diet can only help at this point.
